Styled by Keri: #31ShadesofPink Campaign

I had the amazing opportunity to serve as the stylist for #31ShadesofPink, a breast cancer awareness campaign created by photographer Maya Darasaw of MAD Works Photography, Candyce Jones of Anchored Consulting & Events and TaKeyia Monique of Haute Hipsters Media.

On October 1st, #31ShadesofPink will launch and honor those that are or have been impacted by breast cancer. Each day of the month, a picture will be posted online along with a story and/or message that will inspire and educate. The goal is to encourage men and women to get regular screenings and build a social community that supports and educates each other.

For this shoot, we wanted the color pink to stand out and make a bold statement. All of the participants wore white. Our amazing sponsors Everlast, Amazon and Zappos.com provided pink Converse sneakers and Everlast gloves.  But the best part of this shoot was meeting the amazing, strong survivors (some who have had breast cancer multiple times) and the family/friends that love and support them. These women and man have great stories to share and I hope you'll tune in to hear and see them.
