I Won A Podcast Grant!
If at first you don’t succeed dust yourself off and try again.
At the top of the year, I told myself I wanted to spend time applying for grants this season. Producing your own podcast is not cheap and costs can add up quickly.
PodGround is a platform and online community for independent podcasters. In February they launched their first micro-grant and I applied. And I was NOT selected.
I was disappointed but not discouraged.
When I saw PodGround announce they were offering the grant again, I listened to what the judges said they were looking for when reviewing applications. With a clearer understanding of the purpose of the podcast and what I hope to achieve in the next year, I applied again.
And I was selected as one of the June recipients of the Micro-Grant!
The day I found out I was selected was at the end of an exhausting few days working on a podcast episode. It was a win I didn't know my spirit needed.
Being selected serves as confirmation that the work matters.
It's confirmation that the stories being shared are reaching people.
And it's confirmation to keep going.
